DSB Football Guides, 2012
About the text
In 2008, DSB (Denmark’s largest train operator) spent some €1,346,000 clearing up and making repairs as a consequence of football-related vandalism. For years, Danish football fans had caused numerous problems for other train passengers and staff when traveling to and from football matches. However, since 2009 when the football guide project was initiated, these problems have decreased dramatically primarily through a strategy of cooperation with football fans. In 2011, the money spent on clearing up and repair was reduced to only €5,400. This small booklet provides a description of DSB’s “Football guides” and the reasoning behind the initiative.
